AIMS & OBJECTIVES OF THE
SCHOOL
AIMS
The aim of the school is to provide wholesome education to the pupils with an emphasis on Indian culture. The school accepts English as the medium of instruction and
is affiliated to the Maharashatra State Board of Secondary Education, and the pupils are prepared for class X examination conducted by the said Board. Eventually, the school will be upgraded to Junior College i.e. up to XII STD.
The school building is well designed on Rajasthani style and has spacious classrooms measuring about 600 sq.ft. In area with plenty of natural lights and ventilation.
CURRICULUM
Presently, the school follows the curriculum as prescribed by the Maharashtra State Board of Education.
Textbooks prescribed only by the Textbook bureau of Maharashtra State for the various classes are used. How ever, the school may be affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi (. in which case textbooks may be changed).
In addition to General Studies, Computer Education/Literacy will be compulsory from class V.
OTHER EXPOSURES
Sahakar Vidya Mandir has a rich tradition of Co-curricular activities, which are meant to enable the pupils to acquire interest in many fields and thus lead to a harmonious development of physical, moral, aesthetic and intellectual life.
Every pupil is required to participate in one or more of these activities according to his/her interest and aptitudes.
Along with the academic studies, the children will have variety of exposures in form of excursions, debates, wallpapers, visits to various historical, religious places and places of other interests having scientific and cultural importance.
The school will have science and hobby clubs, scouts and guides, Road-Safety.
Petrols, and will hold several competitions such as quiz, cleanliness etc.
The school will also organize talks by well-known persons from different fields, thus giving the pupils variety of experiences.
FINE ARTS AND OTHER AMENITIES
The school also takes care to explore and develop other innate qualities and interest in pupils such as music, dramatics, drawing, painting, dance etc.
The school has well equipped Science and Computer Lab. It has also a good library attached with spacious reading room attended by the qualified librarian.
The drawing hall with is fitted with glass, gives panoramic view of Yelgaon dam and its surrounding greenery. On the top floor, it has a spacious auditorium to conduct several cultural activities.
In order to develop attitude for "saving", the school will run a mini bank and students from higher classes will operate their own saving accounts.
To develop leadership qualities, the school will have "House perfect" system.
SPORTS AND GAMES
The school caters for both indoor and outdoor sports activities and has different fields for different outdoor games sprawled over 7 acres of land.
In near future, the school will have indoor badminton court, a gymnasium and a swimming spool. The school will also cater for adventure sports mountaineering, Rock-Climbing, trekking, parasailing etc. in due course of time.
The sport activities will be carried on under the supervision of teachers and qualified physical Education instructor.
Outdoor Games
Cricket, Volleyball, Football, Hockey,
Rounders, Indian games etc.
Indoor Games
Carrom, Chess, Table Tennis, Badminton etc.
The School prepares the student to participate in various competitions organized by outside agencies.
HEALTH CARE
All the boarders undergo a general check up of eyes, ears, nose, throat, teeth etc. twice a year and the copy of the medical report, if necessary is sent to parents.
The school has a small, "sick ward" with 4 beds and is attended by a qualified nurse. In case of serious illness, parents are immediately informed and requested to accept responsibility of their ward. (Being a district place.
Buldana has medical facilities available-including District Civil Hospital) A doctor visits the school once a
week however he is also available on call.
MEALS AND DRINKING WATER
We try our best to provide hygienically prepared nutritious wholesome and tasty vegetarian diet all the time. No
non-veg (including eggs), food is served to the students. Meals are served in the form of breakfast, lunch, evening refreshments and dinner. Rich milk is provided at the time of dormitories residential quarters etc.
